Sanford's 2008 Budget Plan Unveiled by Gov Sanford
Gov Mark Sanford released the 2008-09 executive budget proposing a 326 million cut to reach a 63 billion total. N C football player and wife charged in teen death
Pernell Thompson and Yolanda Thompson, both held in Union County, face murder charges in the stabbing death of 16 year old Marisha Jeter, a Union County High School junior and cheerleader. Jeter met Thompson Thursday night behind a YMCA, was killed in a back parking lot, and her pink 1994 Toyota Celica was later torched in a neighboring county.
