Break-in at Fleetwood Homes front door causes $20 damage
A mobile home on Fleetwood Homes lot on Richland Avenue was broken into Sunday with $20 damage to the front door and no items reported missing. Three Aiken residents were arrested Saturday after a traffic stop on Greenville Street at Abbeville Avenue, charged with open container. one man with bench warrants resisted arrest and faced marijuana and paraphernalia charges. A window at a Carver Terrace apartment broke Saturday, $75 damage. A juvenile faced marijuana possession charges after a Saturday stop at Laurens Street and Edgefield Avenue. A Batesburg man was arrested for driving under suspension after a traffic stop on York Street. Aiken youth charged with malicious damage for smashing a front plate glass at Alfred Street, causing $200 damage. Another Aiken man arrested for hit and run after colliding with a youth’s pickup, fleeing with no insurance declared.

Love to speak at annual Chamber meeting
