Vineyards Grow From Basement to Notable Winery
Montemorenci Vineyards president Bob Scott addressed the Aiken Rotary Club describing the venture from a basement start in 1967 to a 15 acre expansion nine years later. The winery earned 40 awards and ships across the United States, with local sales and tourism driving half of its volumes. Members Susan French and Nick Christopher were welcomed, and a $444 donation to Habitat for Humanity was announced by local banks. The club meets weekly at Houndslake Country Club.
