Wildwood Garden Club met December 12 at Cold Creek Nursery with President Eleanor Studley opening the session. Shirl ONeill shared humor about a young red tail hawk, and Pam Learnee led a hands on bows and decorations workshop. Refreshments followed.

Lectures on local history set for Aiken museum series

The Aiken Historical Museum hosts several talks on local history in collaboration with the Academy for Lifelong Learning. Speakers include Owen Lary Rosamond McDuffie Fred Humes June Murff and Fred Cavanaugh addressing the many facets of Aiken. Admission is 20 dollars and includes a one year Friends of the Museum membership. New enrollment notices for area schools are announced with dates in late January and early February.
