Ray May Files Suit Against Lawyer
James Earl Ray, the convict in the Martin Luther King Jr. assassination, threatens to sue Memphis attorney Robert I. Livingston for alleged self serving statements. In a two page letter to Livingston and The Commercial Appeal Ray claims Livingston aims to keep him in prison solitary or isolated. Ray serves a 99 year sentence at Brushy Mountain State Prison in Petros Tennessee after pleading guilty in 1969 to King s slaying.

A suit filed in U S District Court seeks to block repayment of about 90000 by the Aiken County Community Action Commission to the Department of Social Services for transportation contract funds. Aiken opens its horse season with schooling show at Graf Bae Farms and polo matches starting this month. Woman Jumped From Union Street Bridge In Aiken
An Aiken woman Louise Sumner 52 died last night after leaping from the Union Street Bridge around 9 20 pm. Police found her behind the guard rail and she fell to the railroad cut below. Coroner James L Gregory said an investigation is underway but an inquest is unlikely. No funeral services are planned.
