Community partners build new Aiken shelter and program

The Friends of the Animal Shelter Aiken County partners with the county to support the overcrowded shelter. FOTAS funds design work and equipment, coordinates volunteers and off site adoptions, and aims to reduce intake through a robust spay neuter program. The new humane shelter on May Royal Drive opens soon, with community volunteers integral to its operations.
