Sanford Seeks $151 Million Tax Rebate Amid Budget Plan
Gov Mark Sanford outlined a $5.8 billion spending plan proposing a $151 million tax rebate roughly $150 per household from the new budget year. He said spending should grow with inflation and population, while the rebate helps curb government growth and bolster the economy. The plan also allocates funds for education and job creation, with remaining cash to repay debt and cover new needs.
