Two jailed for shoplifting at Walmart after chase
Police report says Tonya Kneece and Joseph Bowling were detained for stealing clothing at Walmart on Richland Avenue. Bowling hid behind a power transformer with disturbed mulch beneath, while Kneece concealed red panties lip balm and a nail file in packaging. Both were jailed in the Aiken County detention center.

Driver flees DUI checkpoint as tire is deflated in pursuit
A 21 year old Aiken man Dillon Patrick Dennis was detained after fleeing a DUI checkpoint on Whiskey Road. A tire deflation device punctured the front left tire near University Parkway and the suspect was arrested on DUI driving under suspension and failure to stop for blue lights. Dennis has prior charges including burglary grand larceny and sexual exploitation of a minor. Investigations also reported a separate early Friday hotel gunshots incident on Whiskey Road with a suspect and vehicle matching witness descriptions.
