Kingstree Train Collision Kills Pawleys Island Man and Stepdaughter
A Pawleys Island man and his 10 year old stepdaughter Abriahana Pryce died when the car driven by Billy Joe Leggette collided with a freight train in downtown Kingstree. The car attempted to bypass a crossing arm and struck the passenger side at about 55 mph. The impact hurled the vehicle over 100 feet and into a brick wall near the train station. No other injuries were reported as authorities investigated.
