Federal group joins probe of Barnwell party deaths
The Consumer Products Safety Commission has joined state and local investigators in a carbon monoxide death probe at the Salkehatchie Coon Hunters Association clubhouse in Barnwell. Autopsies confirm carbon monoxide poisoning as the cause. investigators consider heater sources and other possibilities as about 150 party attendees are questioned.
