Dogs Rescued From Suspected Neglected Fairfield Street Situation
Aiken Public Safety rescued three dogs after an anonymous tip about cruel living conditions on Fairfield Street. One dog was emaciated and chained. two others were found in poor condition in the backyard, tied to a post and under stairs. The homeowners could not be contacted. dogs were taken to SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare.

Man Arrested After Swallowing Suspected Cocaine Bag
Police arrested Briar Cleaves Pow of 414 Laurens St after he allegedly swallowed a bag containing cocaine during a drug deal near Ridge and Hampton Avenues. Officers restrained him as he swallowed and recovered a small plastic piece with cocaine residue. He is held at the Aiken County detention center on charges including possession of cocaine unlawful carrying of a pistol and failure to comply.
