USC Aiken Students Find Remains in Hitchcock Woods May Link 1992 Disappearance
Two USC Aiken students discovered human remains in Hitchcock Woods on Saturday. Deputy Coroner Tim Carlton said evidence and an investigator’s information suggest a possible link to the 1992 disappearance of Paul Gregory, a Queens, New York man. Carlton cautioned that identification is presumptive and discussed notifying next of kin while stating details about homicide or natural death are not being released. Gregory was reported missing by his parents after they found his apartment prepared for a visit. The remains were found by USCA students Timothy Meesseman and Carl Williams during a geocaching outing off Dibble Road.
