Planning meeting eyed for new YMCA in Aiken
The Family Y already serves 13 Aiken County schools with on site care for elementary children and seeks to open a facility in Aiken. Dan McConnell says community driven input is essential and a meeting is set for today at 7 p.m. at St Thaddeus Episcopal Church. A survey is planned for residents in January to gauge interest.

Neighborhood mourns loss of Mister Rogers
Fred Rogers, beloved host of Mister Rogers Neighborhood, died of stomach cancer at age 74 in his Pittsburgh home. Connector road plan to be chosen in joint meeting
