Statewide outdoor burning ban declared in South Carolina
The South Carolina State Forester issued a ban on outdoor burning in all unincorporated areas statewide due to high winds and low humidity. Fires were reported across multiple counties with 88 fires statewide on Tuesday. violators face fines up to $100 plus court costs as officers patrol and issue citations.

South Aiken Presbyterian Tabbed Fried as New Senior Pastor
The Rev. John L. Frye Jr. was chosen after a nine month search by the pastor nominating committee to lead South Aiken Presbyterian Church as senior pastor head of staff. His first Sunday is March 10 with an installation on April 2. He trained at Union Theological Seminary in Richmond and was ordained in 1993. He previously served at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Columbia and held roles in Congregational Care, Community Service, and Discipleship. He and his wife Denise have a son, John, a Davidson College junior.

Between Monday and Friday, several thefts occurred including three wheels from a Lake Shore Drive storage building valued at 400, a firearm from a Jackson residence worth 500, cash totaling 715 hidden in a Ninety Six residence, and a cassette player plus speaker valued at 160 from a Gooseneck Road heavy equipment cab. A Kellogg Drive rear window was damaged for 30 with no forced entry.
