The Pine Needle Garden Club met February at Hamann Johnson Associates studio. Dan Hamann spoke on plant identification and care while Vic Johnson shared the Mattie Hall house history. Samples of new spring fabrics were shown and two third place awards were won for arrangements. Plans for a Kiawah Island trip on March 8 were discussed.
Debbie Yaun and Danny Boyd were married at Langley United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Brunson officiating. The bride, daughter of Charles and Yaun, wore a satin peau gown, while attendants included Mrs. Toole and Furman H. Boyd. After a church reception, the couple planned a Florida wedding trip and will reside in Gloverville.
The Aiken County Shrine Club schedules its fourth annual Miss Aiken County Shrine Pageant for May 6 at Aiken Junior High School. Entry forms available in area schools by Monday with March 17 deadline. Prizes total 275 dollars. winner 150, runners-up 125 split.
