Weekend re enactment of the Battle of Aiken takes place Saturday and Sunday at 1210 Powell Pond Road with gates opening at 9 a.m. Admission is 12 for ages 13 and up, 6 for ages 6 to 12, and free for under 5. Saturday features a White Pond battle re enactment at 11 30 a m and a 2 30 p m show on both days.
A weekend of Civil War reenactments and historic activities around Aiken includes the Battle of Aiken at 1210 Powell Pond Road with gates opening at 9 a.m. both days and reenactments starting at 2 30 p.m. Tickets cost 12 for ages 13 and up, 6 for 6 to 12, free for under 5. Other events include a 1865 wedding, tea, and dance demonstrations, plus church service and fashion show on Sunday.
