MTU Diesel Likely To Bring Jobs To Aiken County
MTU Detroit Diesel plans a new facility at Sage Mill Industrial Park in Aiken County with a $45 million investment and about 250 jobs. Tognum Group and the Aiken Edgefield Economic Development Partnership will finalize site selection March 5, with county incentives including sale of 50 acres and $1 million for infrastructure. The Augusta based obstetrician and head of the W G Watson M D Women’s Center delivers more than 15 000 babies and remains active at University Hospital. A Thursday noon celebration, and Friday 4 to 7 p m drop in, honor his centenarian milestone. He plans to retire only when care for patients ends.
