Gunshot death under investigation near Auto Parts store
Aiken County sheriff s office probes a 22 year old Ricky A Harris of Old Graniteville Highway as four people were in a vehicle when a gun discharged outside 4481 Jefferson Davis Highway Clearwater at about 5 30 p m Friday. Officials say the shooting may be accidental or intentional with EMS transporting Harris to the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta where he later died an autopsy planned in Newberry.

A convicted sex offender failed to complete biannual registration with the Aiken County Sheriff's Office as required. Tason T. Williams, 33, was convicted in 2005 of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and registered in 2006 but did not return for the required updates.
