Bath man arrested for meth on East Martintown Road
A Bath man was arrested on East Martintown Road in North Augusta after police found him with methamphetamine. He sat in a vehicle, had prior drug charges, and handed over a bag of meth. An Aiken man stopped for a traffic violation faced DUI with a breath test near .23 percent and was jailed. An Aiken man reported a dog attack by a German shepherd on Huron Drive, treated at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Four people were found at a condemned residence on Kershaw Street and placed on trespass. A burglary on Rose Hill Drive between Feb 14 and 18 involved a stolen cook range and forced entry. A motorcycle was stolen from Gregg Avenue after the owner left briefly. Power tools and copper wiring were stolen from Kyle Road and Cherry Street homes with forced entry. An HVAC unit was stolen from a pet grooming business on Augusta Road. Car break-ins on Willow Springs Drive led to theft of items from unlocked vehicles. Jewelry worth over two dozen pieces was stolen from White Hall Road after the resident had been hospitalized.

Aiken County Reserve Deputy Program Seeks Volunteers
The Aiken County Sheriff's Office recruits citizens for its Reserve Deputy Program formed in 1985. About 30 reserves train 14 weeks to become certified officers and volunteer at least 20 hours monthly.
