Circuit In Good Shape Says South Carolina Solicitor
Sylvia Westerdahl, Anderson County native and South Carolina solicitor, told the Senior Men's Club at Ramada Inn the second circuit is in excellent shape. She cited high conviction rates, low nolprosequi rates, and new family court responsibilities including DSS child abuse cases and juvenile matters. She noted the office can remove children from homes and terminate parental rights in rare cases, citing five children whose parents’ rights were terminated.
