Mother vows suit after 4K student wanders from Gloverville school
In Gloverville a 4 year old left Gloverville Elementary campus and walked over a half mile to Highway 421 convenience store. Principal Dwight Smith said staff searched for him as Debra Craige, the boy's mother, said she plans to sue Aiken County School District. Craige criticized neighbors for harassing her and urged accountability for the school.

Salley Factory Outlet bankruptcy trustee appointed in liquidation
Creditors of the Salley based Factory Outlet stores are notified the corporation filed voluntary Chapter 7 in US Bankruptcy Court on January 21. The first meeting of creditors was held at 9 30 a m today at the federal courthouse in Columbia. Private creditors may file claims by May 12 and governmental agencies by August 11. The firm is owned by David Ross, whose father Eddie Ross opened the first outlet in Salley about 30 years ago and founded Salley Manufacturing Co., which closed in the mid 1990s after employing more than 300. The chain featured women s fashions with about a dozen stores across Georgia and South Carolina, including Aiken. Remaining stores closed in January. Ross declined comment.
