Aiken Police Investigate Gunshot Report on Columbia Ave
Aiken DPS responded to gunshot noise on 300 block of Columbia Avenue around 9 p.m. Thursday but found no evidence of shots fired beyond two bystanders hearing six shots. A 16-year-old girl reported a wallet stolen from a grocery store cart. Burglary reports followed on Kenmont Street in Aiken and Disaster Road in Windsor with missing food from a freezer.

Two jailed after interstate chase ends in South Carolina
Aquarius Sarkees Battle and Omyry Hickson were arrested after a high speed chase along I-20 from Georgia into South Carolina. Battle faces multiple Georgia charges including reckless driving while Hickson is charged with disorderly conduct.
