Escapee charged after driving at officers in Aiken County

Austin Owens 24 of Trenton and Christina Clifford 19 of Aiken face charges after Owens fled from the Lower Savannah Pre-Release Center with Clifford’s alleged help. Authorities say Owens’ vehicle sped toward officers forcing them to dive into a ditch as they pursued.
