Budget panel raises tuition caps
A South Carolina House panel debated higher education costs and voted against raising the tuition cap beyond a proposed 250 per semester. The panel kept the limit tied to a higher education price index plus 175, despite calls by Rep. Limehouse to raise it. Other actions included increasing rewards for tips in convict captures and delaying report cards to December 15 for appeals.
