The New Ellenton City Council plans a 7 p.m. special meeting today to renew talks on a 5 million sewer bond as the state proposes negotiations to resolve debt. A Monday vote favored a public referendum on the talks, with the decision to be readdressed.

North Augusta attorney Tom Huff won a seat on the state Court of Appeals in an 88 to 75 vote by the General Assembly.
