The Aiken Lode of Knights of Pythias marks 65 years of the order and 30 years of the Aiken Lodge next Monday night February 18 at 7 90 in Titanin Hall. Members bring a lady guest. Second Baptist Church Debt Appeal Urges Support

Prohibition Violators Fined in General Session Court
The winter term of the court of general sessions adjourned Friday morning. Jurors disposed of few cases after the Pate verdict. Leon Ward and Monroe Garvin, white, were fined for violation of the prohibition law. Ward acquitted. Garvin sentenced to three months and a $60 fine, suspended on good behavior. Eerl Corley, colored, received the same sentence. Newt Cushman got eight months on the gang for prohibition violation. Allen Manse, colored, found not guilty of murder. Ellis Tyler pending for assault and battery until next term. Jesse Marina, colored, had sentence suspended from two years to one year for violation of the prohibition law.

J R Charmen former superintendent of education for Aiken County has moved to Florida and returned to the area. He now operates Superior Laundry in Augusta and has opened a local agency in Aiken at the Alkey Clothing and Shoe Co. He plans to expand business here and has been visiting friends this week.
