Tortoise escapes found by neighbor in Charleston area

A pet tortoise about 18 inches long and estimated five years old wandered a North Charleston neighborhood before a neighbor found it. Charleston Animal Society shelter spokeswoman Kay Hyman said the animal clearly belonged to someone and had dug its way free.
