Carol Burnett ends her 11 year CBS variety show run
St Patrick’s Day marks the taping of the 268th and final Carol Burnett Show episode. Burnett says the end feels like graduating, not retirement, noting the show’s departure as part of an era while indicating she will continue television work. She cites evolving skits and a desire to exhale after years of high‑level comedy.
