Tax changes for seniors reshape credits and deductions
The 1976 and 1977 tax acts alter the elderly tax picture with the zero bracket amount and new credits. Deductions differ for itemizers and non itemizers, and disability and elderly credits apply under strict income limits. Guidance includes Forms 2440 and W 4P for withholding.
