SRS to Gain $90 Million in DOE Budget Boost
The Savannah River Site would receive 90 million more than current funding to treat high level liquid radioactive waste in over 40 tanks. The budget proposes 645.3 million for the Facility, up from 554.8 million, totaling an 111 million sitewide increase. SRR spokesman Jim Gusti says the boost could enable significant progress if Congress approves.
