Boston AP report says scientists found AIDS antibodies in saliva of many who carry them in blood. They argue saliva is unlikely to spread AIDS and antibodies may help show exposure. Researchers note saliva antibodies may deactivate the virus, explaining nontransmission by kissing.
In Columbia AP reports supporters say votes exist to pass a mandatory seat belt law for drivers and passengers in South Carolina while Sen. Glenn McConnell warns opposition is rising in the state Senate. debate centers on personal freedom versus public safety with a $10 fine for violators.
