Public input sessions set for three more meetings on new county complex
Aiken County announces final three public input sessions in Wagener North Augusta and Midland Valley to discuss the new administrative complex. Meetings run 6 to 8 pm with council members architects and the BB&E firm present to share design plans project timeline and Q and A. A citizen ad hoc committee will be formed with two appointees from each council member. Preliminary costs estimate 25 to 30 million dollars and the site could expand to 125000 square feet housing about 250 staff. The plan envisions remaining on the current site near Richland Avenue with a ceremonial front entrance and extensive parking.
