AP reports a hydrogen chloride leak from a reactor at Hardwicke Chemical Inc caused part of Interstate 20 in Kershaw County to close. No injuries occurred as a safety valve released gas between midnight and 2 a.m. Wednesday. public danger was ruled unlikely and the gas dissipated.

Car stolen with child asleep in back seat recovered later
