Dominick Seeks Third District for South Carolina

Washington reports Representative Dominick will introduce a bill this week to create an additional federal judicial district in South Carolina. Prize Offered By Cotton Growers Association

The South Carolina Cotton Growers Cooperative Association offers a 310 gold prize to public school pupils in Aitken Edgefield and Salk for the best essay on Cooperative Marketing. The contest closes the second Friday in February. essays should be read aloud in class and submitted next day to W. W. Fuller, Edgefield County Superintendent of Education, chairman of the committee. Tax money paid in for Aikenae taxes in one day

Jargent amount collected for Aikenae taxes in a single day reported by J D Woodward treasurer at 16010081 dollars on December 31 1925 as cotton mills made payments. Prior to that day 20428959 was collected bringing total to 36388440. About 60 percent of the total tax has been paid. Miss Rebecca Wolf visiting relatives in Washington and New York.

Wagener man Elliott Gantt released on bond after fatal shooting

Elliott Gantt of Wagener, found guilty at the October term of General Sessions Court, was released on a $6000 bail while appealing to the State Supreme Court. He was involved in a fatal shooting that killed Knotts, who died from his wounds shortly after the incident.
