Woodie Fryman Dies at 70 Former Expos Pitcher Hall of Fame

Woodie Fryman, who pitched 18 major league seasons and was inducted into the Montreal Expos Hall of Fame in 1995, has died at age 70. He compiled 141 wins from 1966 to 1983 with the Expos, Pirates, Phillies, Tigers, Reds, and Cubs, saving 17 games for Montreal in 1980 and posting notable one hitters including a near perfect game as a Pirates rookie. He joined Detroit mid 1972 and went 10-3 with a 2.06 ERA to help the Tigers win the AL East.
