Shark Attack Fatality Off South Florida Beats Lifeguard Help

A 38 year old kiteboarder Stephen Schafer died after a predatory shark attack off Stuart Florida. Authorities say two bites severed arteries in his leg and blood loss led to death. Lifeguard Daniel Lund, also a shark bite survivor, pulled him to shore before he died at a hospital.

Driver's father behind wheel in Laughlin casino crash shocks family

The 70-year-old Walter McGie from Kelso Washington drove a 2007 Pontiac Vibe that crashed into the Edgewater Hotel & Casino in Laughlin Nevada killing two and injuring at least eight. One victim was 8-year-old Helen Hindmand of Lincoln Nebraska. another woman unnamed. McGie was arrested on two counts of reckless driving causing death and released on 6000 bail with arraignment set for March 11.
