Sesame Street to Aid New National Children's Museum
Sesame Workshop teams with the National Children’s Museum to place Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch in a planned 182.6 million facility near Washington DC. The four story Cesar Pelli design sits on the Potomac River at National Harbor Maryland and aims for a 2013 opening with Elmo featured as a tour guide in new Early Learners and international galleries. Funding includes Maryland support of 12 million plus 3 million pending and federal backing pledged by Senator Daniel Inouye.
