City Council Eyes Two Annexation Ordinances
The Aiken City Council will read two annexation ordinances at 7:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building. One covers land on Pine Log Road south of Farmers & Merchants Bank between Francliff Corp, the other is part of Eugene Williams estate on U.S. 1 near Kalmia Hill School. The meeting also considers Forest Hills Avenue resurfacing, a sidewalk sale Feb 26 27 28, use of Building T12 by the Aiken Youth Corrections Center, and dismantling the old radar tower base. The city leases the site to the State Department of Corrections.
