Security Federal Reports 2017 Earnings Adjusted by Tax Reform
Security Federal Corp announces 2017 net income before taxes of 8.4 million up 6.4 percent from 2016. After a non-cash tax charge linked to the TCJA, net income available to common shareholders was 5.9 million. Net loans rose 8.6 percent to 390.5 million. Total deposits reached 702.1 million, and total assets grew to 868.8 million with improved non-performing assets at 6.8 million.
