Seven Die In South Carolina Weekend Traffic Wrecks

The Associated Press reports seven weekend traffic fatalities on South Carolina roads from 6 p.m. Friday to midnight Sunday. Dewayne Gantt 22 died in Orangeburg County after passing a pickup. a Conway woman 37 was struck south of S C 243. Joseph Hicks 35 crashed into a sand truck on I 385. Michael Lecroy 38 died after allegedly running a red light. Terry Morgan 26 died near Winnsboro on S C 61 with two passengers Nathan Adams 15 and Quazaus Feaster 16.

Ex-Officer Arrested For Impersonating Cop

A former Greer police officer was arrested in Greenville for impersonating an officer. He allegedly tried to pull someone over in traffic and used a Wellford badge later confiscated. He previously worked for Wellford and Spartanburg County Detention Facility before leaving for non law enforcement work.

Learning The Ropes At Aiken County Program Change

Howard plans to expand outreach to at risk students and improve county school supports. She is Augusta native with a psychology degree and prior experience at Planned Parenthood in Augusta.
