PALFED merger OK'd with Regions Financial
PALFED Inc announces a merger with Regions Financial Corp of Alabama. CEO John Troutman and chairman Al Peters led a stockholder and employee meeting amid tears as Regions planned a Feb 12 closing and July 23 conversion. PALFED stockholders will receive seven Regions shares per 10 PALFED. Regions will bring 51.1 billion in assets to Aiken and surrounding markets.
