Former Democratic Gov Jim Hodges has joined Kennedy Covington Lobdell & Hickman in Charlotte to head a business and government consulting unit serving clients in South Carolina North Carolina and the Southeast Hodges Consulting Group will advise on government relations and business issues with former aides joining the team including Billy Bean Mark Sweatman and Merideth Strawhorn DuBose calls the move an exciting new initiative aimed at offering comprehensive client solutions Hodges took office in January 1999 and was defeated by Republican Mark Sanford last November
