Students learn environmental law in unique DC course
In Washington, 17 year old Kevin Roberson leads a mock trial defending an accused employer, part of a four month course on environmental law taught by Justice Department lawyers to Anacostia high school students. The program, begun in 1995, draws about 30 volunteer attorneys and 10 to 20 students per session, with trips to study the Anacostia River and hands on activities shaping future environmental lawyers.
