Kathleen Wilkerson, 34, pleaded no contest to stealing 1.8 million dollars worth of rare books from the University of Pennsylvania Van Pelt Library where she worked part time and was sentenced to seven years of psychiatric probation. Des Moines case notes describe Stephen Blumberg, 42, convicted of possessing 21,000 rare books stolen nationwide as a hardened criminal who should be punished.

Iraqi armored push tests Allied lines near Khafji

Iraqi armored units crossed into Saudi Arabia about 50 miles west of Khafji and fought allied forces in tank and artillery duels. Florida couple charged with trying to sell their baby

Sherman Newell and Geraldine Newell were arrested after they offered to sell their 3 month old infant to undercover officers.
