Aiken Jaycees seek a 1971 Junior Miss to compete in the South Carolina Junior Miss Pageant. The local pageant, chaired by Steve Mehder, will include a Sunday 3 p.m. coke party at the Jaycee Hut. Judging focuses on mental alertness poise appearance arts and youth fitness. The main pageant is January 29 at Aiken Junior High Auditorium.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Reikhofer of Greenville announce the birth of a daughter, Beverly Lisa, on December 19 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. The couple also has four-year-old twin sons Paul and Gary and an adopted daughter Sara, age three. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Reikhofer of Greenville and Mrs. Hanson Smith of Augusta and the late Mr. Smith. Mrs. Reikhofer, formerly of North Augusta, taught for several years in Aiken County before marriage.
Miss Barbara Massengale of Greensboro announces her engagement to Charles Bradford Brodie of Sally. Barbara Sue Massengale is daughter of Charles Nix Massengale and the late Inez Goldman Massengale. The groom is son of Malcolm Bradford Brodie and Mrs. Cuthbert Samuel Greaton. They plan to wed January 30 at Our Lady of Lourdes in Greensboro and will live in Atlanta.
Quinton and Garrett vow at Woodridge Baptist Church in North Augusta officiated by Reverend Claude B. Love. Bride daughter of H. E. Price, groom son of A.B. Garrett. Attendants include Nancy Lou Quinton as maid of honor and John Hughs as best man. Reception held in church hall. couple to reside in North Augusta after a wedding trip to Jekyll Island.
