First female barber joins Carolina Barber Shop in Five Points
Stacey Goode, 24, becomes the shop’s first woman barber since 1937 in Columbia's Five Points. She faced initial doubt from a few longtime clients but now serves about three regulars daily and welcomes walk-ins. The shop preserves old-school ambiance with straight razors and cigarette smoke in a nostalgic setting.
