Aiken man charged in sexual assault case and police stop
Ronnie Chavious 48 of Union Street was detained on warrants for criminal sexual conduct with a minor second degree and faces additional charges for driving under suspension and unlawful use of a license. The case involves a 14 year old and stems from an incident reported by Schofield Middle School after investigators linked the vehicle stop to the warrants. The alleged abuse occurred between October 2012 and August 2013 at Chavious home with the victim stating fear of returning home. Chavious has prior arrests for driving under suspension and domestic violence.
