Community aids USC Aiken graduate facing mobility hurdles
Jo Prescott, a 28 year survivor of gun violence and quadriplegia, earned a sociology degree at USC Aiken with the help of a student fundraiser. Beth Williams and the Human Services class raised 3152.42 plus a 1000 start from Midland Valley Chamber to create the Josephine Prescott Change for Change account. The group hopes Prescott can assist abuse survivors and may buy a newer used van with the funds.
