Beagle 2 Mars Lander Signal Fails To Reach Earth
Spacecraft Beagle 2, designed to search for life, may have landed on Mars shortly before 10 p.m. on Wednesday. Three signal checks by Mars Odyssey and Jodrell Bank failed to detect its call sign. NASA and partners planned further listening efforts while Mars Express prepared to map the planet and search for water.
