Researchers in Thailand had 34 elephants walk over force sensing plates at different speeds while video captured the motion. They found peak ground reaction forces around 1.4 times the elephants' weight and minimal center of mass movement, revealing data heavy steps rather than gliding motion.

Spine Doctors of Aiken delivered gifts to five Christ Central families on Saturday. Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived by horse drawn wagon with large bags of items from wish lists. The event included wagon rides, dinner, carolers, food baskets and trees. Judy Floyd of Christ Central said the gifts may be the only Christmas for many children. Donations came from Ryan’s, Applebee’s, Yahweh Wilderness Expeditions, Food Lion and Kroger.
